El Clasico of IPL, yes my dear friends you heard that right – EL Clasico of IPL.

Unfortunately, at this point of time, the whole world is suffering from a global pandemic i.e. Corona Virus.
Imagine if this thing wouldn’t have happened, in this hot summer probably we would have been busy watching IPL (Indian Premier League) on our television sets, relaxing on sofa couch, having snacks in hand, fairy-tale? no, it isn’t.
But as of now, we don’t have any other option apart from dreaming & hoping for IPL to happen which is suspended this year Huh!
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – Whistle Podu
“Sometimes it feels like the rest of the IPL teams fight against each other only to meet CSK in the finals”.
A team which doesn’t have many big names operates with limited resources, having aged & retired cricketers in the camp but at the same time, they have a magical captain in the form of Dhoni who knows how to use his resources & how to get the best out of them.
They have just above average middle order which (mostly depends on Dhoni himself), world-class spinners & few local Indian pacers. Still, their record is phenomenal in IPL history. Believe me, they have a huge fan following only because of MSD factor.
Mumbai Indians (MI) – Duniya Hila Denge

A team who doesn’t start their IPL campaign with wins rather they usually start with losing 5 out of 6 matches they play. But as the tournament progresses they start to peak & suddenly we witnesses very different Mumbai Indians.
After the half-season gets over they start to turn the table by doing unbelievable & unreal things. They have calm & composed captain in the form of Rohit Sharma, some quality all-rounders & lethal bowling attack. They have 4 IPL titles – more than anyone else in IPL history. Most people had started supporting MI only because of Sachin & now Rohit Sharma is taking his legacy forward.
CSK vs MI
CSk vs MI in IPL, it just feels like Barcelona Vs Real Madrid in El Clasico, isn’t it?
How often we have seen after having excellent IPL season, CSK chokes in front of Mumbai Indians, not really sure why? Even their track record gradually falls down in front of MI than any other team. On the other end, MI gets superior when they face CSK.
Statistical head to head comparison when CSK & MI face each other
Overall | In final meetups |
Matches played – 30 Won by MI – 18 Won by CSK – 12 | Matches played – 4 Won by MI – 3 Won by CSK – 1 |
Doesn’t matter who wins the race from these 2 giants & superpowers of IPL, more importantly, we enjoy the rivalry & cricket is the ultimate winner.
As we have observed Indian players relations with abroad players has grown-up over the years – thanks to IPL.
Conclusion
Hope the world will get switch on asap & we will have some cricket action back soon. No official news yet regarding IPL & all. Also, ICC World T20 may get postponed.
